Andrew Pincus

Andrew Pincus is an attorney licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey and admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. He has practiced bankruptcy law and commercial litigation since 1992.

As a student at Brooklyn Law School, Andrew worked as a clerk for Bankruptcy Judge Tina Brozman in the Southern District of New York, and also as a research clerk for Collier on Bankruptcy, the leading treatise on the area of bankruptcy law in the country. Upon graduating law school in 1992, Andrew worked for six years at a bankruptcy boutique in midtown, Manhattan, then for two years as an associate at Ravin Sarasohn Cook Baumgarten Fisch & Rosen in Roseland, New Jersey, and then four years of counsel to Lowenstein Sandler in Roseland, New Jersey, which then housed the largest bankruptcy practice group in the state of New Jersey. Andrew left Lowenstein Sandler in November 2004 to start his own practice, and joined Mitchell Seidman to form Seidman & Pincus, LLC shortly thereafter.

Andrew's experience has run the gamut, from individual debtor representations in consumer bankruptcy cases under chapter 7 and chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code to debtor, committee, secured lender, creditor, lender, purchaser, trustee and landlord representations in some of the largest and most complex chapter 11 cases across the country, including Enron, Worldcom, Bradlees, GAF Corp. and Interstate Bakeries.

Andrew has published articles on assorted aspects of bankruptcy law in the American Bankruptcy Institute periodical and various real estate and credit publications and has spoken at seminars before attorneys, accountants, credit managers and college students.
